Restoring Independence Through Scientific Knowledge

Our Mission is to assess the risk factors of physical disability in older adults, develop and test effective prevention therapies, and train new investigators in research on aging disability, while developing their leadership qualities. The Pepper Center encompasses several studies into one area of ongoing collective research. Although each study has an individual focus, the universal investigation of the Pepper Center is to determine the outcome of physical activity and its influence on the human condition.

Pepper Study Registry (PSR)

Wake Forest: Pepper Study Registry (PSR)

The Integrated Aging Studies Data Bank and Repository (IASDR) is a web-based data management system that houses data from WF OAIC studies in a common structured format, readily allowing the integration of summary statistics and data across multiple studies. The IASDR also provides information on availability of activity monitoring, imaging data and WF OAIC Biospecimens Repository.
WakeSHARE

WakeSHARE

WakeSHARE was designed to help you navigate complex clinical data, imaging and biospecimens related to AGING and ALZHEIMER'S available at Wake Forest to support your own projects.
OAIC: Pepper Study Registry (PSR)

OAIC National Coordinating Center: Pepper Study Registry (PSR)

The overall goal of the Pepper Study Registry (PSR) is to guarantee the proper and long term access to, preservation and management of data resources to be used for conducting future ancillary studies by investigators with an interest in aging-related research. The PSR provides meta-data for self-deposited aging studies from Pepper Older American Independence Centers (OAICs). The PSR also provides data resources to the Designated Community by curating, preserving, and disseminating raw data that are deposited into the repository.

RESEARCH SPONSOR

NIA

NIA, one of the 27 Institutes and Centers of NIH, leads a broad scientific effort to understand the nature of aging and to extend the healthy, active years of life. NIA is the primary Federal agency supporting and conducting Alzheimer's disease research.
